A US Congressman criticized the SEC for its illegal actions against crypto.

Crypto News – Tom Emmer, a Republican senator from Minnesota, criticized the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) for its unethical practices. Emmer accused the SEC of politicizing the regulation of digital currencies. He also criticized SEC Enforcement Director for unethical destruction of the crypto industry and businesses. He tweeted:

The SEC Director of Enforcement admits the SEC is cracking down on companies outside its jurisdiction. Unacceptable.

Emmer also accused SEC Chair Garry Gensler of baiting and threatening companies. He stated, ” Under Chair Gensler, the SEC has become a power-hungry regulator, engaging in political enforcement actions. Emmer said the behavior of the SEC is completely unacceptable and believes that the regulator cannot regulate in good faith, especially when it comes to the digital asset market. He asserted:

“Under Chair Gensler, the SEC has become a power-hungry regulator, politicizing enforcement, baiting companies to ‘come in and talk’ to the Commission, then hitting them with enforcement actions, discouraging good-faith cooperation.”
