Crypto Payments Are Most Popular in LATAM and EMEA, According to Deel

Crypto Payments – According to a study by global hiring platform Deel, residents of Latin American countries are more likely to receive their salaries through crypto than residents of EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa). About 67% of the cryptocurrency payments between January 2022 and June 2022 were conducted in Latin America, indicating the growing popularity of cryptocurrencies in the region. Attention should be paid to the fact that the region is full of nations suffering from serious financial, economic, and social crises.

The second region willing to accept crypto for payment is EMEA. The region also includes many countries with economic and financial problems.  In addition, the results of another study conducted by Ripple show that Latin American residents are most devoted to the digital asset sector.

About half of the participants expected crypto to influence the financial system in the future. Citizens of Middle Eastern countries were also bullish.  They preferred to deal with entities that embrace the asset class. It is worth mentioning that many respondents trust their banks more than popular exchanges and distribute their wealth in digital assets through a recognized financial institution.
