Crypto Ban Won’t Happen Soon, According to U.S. Congressman.
Crypto Ban – In an interview with the Los Angeles Times, Congressman Brad Sherman stated that cryptocurrencies would not be banned in the United States. In defending investors,, he said that the U.S. government did not ban cryptocurrency when it was in its infancy because it was considered unimportant. The Californian politician is concerned about criminals misusing cryptocurrencies. He has repeatedly stated that cryptocurrencies facilitate terrorism and other nefarious activities. Sherman has frequently called for a complete ban on digital assets and has become the industry’s most vocal critic in Congress. He argued that cryptocurrencies have the backing of “anarchists” who advocate for tax evasion. In July, Sherman upset supporters of the XRP cryptocurrency after claiming that the controversial token is unregistered security.
